Cold And Windy

Been cold here for the past two weeks. The wind seems to just blow and blow and blow. Today it was up to 18 degrees with wind chills to 20 below. The radio said that we had winnd gusts to around 70 mph.
I had to pospone my class this week until today because some of my class was stuck in camp out at Kingsington. (Gold Mine) due to high seas and wind. But this is Alaska and this is the way we like it, always an adventure.
DeAnna (my lovely lady) just went to work on Prince of Wales Island for Niblack (Gold Mine). She will be working three weeks on and 10 days off. She is a miner although she works in the office. Before this she was out at Kingsington working 4 days on and 3 off. A change was needed.
Saving money for a used boat this spring. Fishing is my passtime and there is no better place to support my love for fishing than Southeast Alaska.
I will be taking the Alaska Ferry system down Ketchian when DeAnna comes back from her visit to her family in Spokane Washington while on her first rotation of 10m days off.
I love to travel Southeast Alaska by Ferry. You get to see all of the wild life along the coast and sea life as well.
 Have a great one.
John
