My Birthday

Well, another year has come and gone. Man it does seem to just fly by. It was just last year that I was lieing about being 18 and buying 3.2 beer in Hotchkiss Colorado. I was know too well in my home town of Paonia. Then I could not wait to turn 21 so I could buy the real good stuff ( hard liquor) in Carbondale Colorado.
What I would not give to be able return to those long gone days and just enjoy being young not having the burden that life lays on adults. Say la Vie, we can only live in the now and remember the past.
My birthday was great! I received good wishes of happiness and lots of love from my family and friends.
 I went to the Juneau  boat show with my lady DeAnna, we had a good time. While I was looking at the board of used boats with a salesman I mentioned that I was looking for a good skiff. A man that was standing there said " I have a skiff for sale", the salesman shot him a crusty look and proceeded to point  out some boats on the board.The man left.
I quickly excused myself and went after him. I approached the man and asked what type of skiff he had for sale? He told me that he had an 18 foot Lund Alaskan with a 60 hp motor on a trailer for $5,200.
This was a good buy if it was in good shape. I had just looked at a 14 foot with a 30 hp motor foe $5,200. I set up a time to view the boat.
Dee and I met Ashley (my daughter) at Starbucks where she works and took her to lunch. WSe went on out to take a look at the boat. It was everything that was looking for in a skiff so we bought it.
Dee took me to dinner for my B-Day and we went to a movie afterwards. We saw Lincolin Lawyer,it is a great movie.
When we got home Ashley was there with really nice cake. This was a great Birthday. It feels good to know that you are loved by family and friends.
